Don't press so hard!

Wed May 20, 2009 11:04 pm by Metina

So I wanted to share something that I just realized. When doing lines, there is no need to press the color into the skin. Use the lightest touch and you will be surprised how white the white is and how dark the black is. I have such a heavy hand and even with the Diamond and Wolfe my white mixed. Once I just lightly did the lines the blacks and whites have more punch and I use a couple of blacks and whites since I have lots of stock to use up.

Pretend you are tickling the skin with a feather is how I try to lighten my touch.
