New Product

Post by facepaintingexpress on Sun Nov 02, 2008 2:47 am

Hello Everyone,

Hope you had a great Halloween. I wanted you all to be the first to try a new product and give me your opinions. I am creating custom colored glitter gel for face and body art. The glitter gels can be used for glitter tattoos or with face paint and shimmer powders. I use the same quality ingredients as the other companies use in their glitter gels. The glitters that are available today come in just one color. So I decided to create a custom colors based on the customers needs. If you would like a free sample please email back with your custom color choice (please limit it to 2-3 color combinations) and shipping info. If you would like to help pay for the shipping that would be great! Here is a list of the colors I have available now, I will be adding more in the future.
Color Choices-light green, dark green, silver, gold, orange, pink, light blue, dark blue, light purple, dark purple, white and red.

If you would like to see sample picture please email me.

Thank you

That's a very generous offer Stacey!!

So you are making (just to clarify) multi-coloured glitter gels to order? How are you packaging them? In pots or the squeeze bottles?

I am sending the samples in pots, but the actual product will come in squeeze bottles from 1/2 oz up to 8oz. The glitter gels are multi colored, to fit the customers needs. Example: Our local school is the Silver Creeek Dragons and their colors are blue and orange, so I created the orange and blue glitter gel to go with the dragon gillter tattoo.
I want to give out samples, so I can get feed back before I actually started marketing the products.

Hiya,

Good luck with this!

I am not a big fan of using gels per say, but it seems like you could always put two colors of glitter in one puff bottle and create your product dry if you were so inclined.

What would be the intended use? I am just trying to envision how you would use a two-color glitter gel over a multi-colored design.

Do you have any pics you could send? I am having a small jam tomorrow and I will ask them their thoughts as well.

For "glitter tattoos" the usual method is adhesive with dry glitter on top and they last for days.

Any of the gels I've tried wash off with the face paint. So I am assuming when you refer to "glitter tattoos" you mean using the gels with face paint on designs that will wash off?

I would love to see an example of how you are using it.

For the glitter tattoos, once it dried mine stayed on for a couple of days as long has you dont scrub it. If you use it with the face paints, it will wash off with the paint. With the multi colored glitters, to me, it gives it more of a 3-D look, it seems it stands out more then just the single colored ones. You could mix and match to create a custom look. I had been using the loose glittler over the glue, but it seemed to make a larger mess with less control over details. With the squeeze bottle and detail tip you can make fine lines with better contol over where the glitter is going. The only fall back to using the glitter gel is it does take a little longer to dry. i have been trying to download my pictures, but I am still having issues. I will email them to you. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you want and all the feedback is apperciated.

Glitter Gel

Post by Just Jenny on Mon Nov 03, 2008 1:00 am

I would love to try out your gel.....I can't say that I understand why it would last 3 to 5 days used alone and wash off immediately when used with FP, but then I'm not always real quick.

and when you say you mix the colors....do you mean that you make a mixture of say black and white and get a grey, or green and blue and get teal?

And love your picture....I have the same one from Vista Print on my business cards.

Jenny,
The glitters wash off with the paints because the paint is applied first to the skin, so when you wash off the paint the glitter comes off too. With the glitter gel by its self it dries directly on the skin, which makes it last a few days.
When I mix the colors they dont blend. You just have more then one color in the same bottle. I will email you a picture to show you.
Yes i got my logo from vista print, they will create a logo for you (for a fee of course).

Oh, I see the answer to my avatar question here, so nevermind that other thread. LOL. How awesome that they have a ready-made logo like that. They must have more face painters than I would have suspected using their services!

About the glitter gel, I'd love to see photos too. You can email them to me at Janders@eastex.net . Thanks!
