Ohhhhh aren't you a clever one! Very Happy Little hard to find a beach towel when it's -20 degrees celcius... but I'll definitely keep that in mind this spring. A little elastic around the corners would keep it from flapping too Idea .

aaah, lol I guess you're right... I'm so use to seeing all this beachy stuff around here that is easy access year-round. sunny No seasons gets a tad boring though.

In Alberta, if you're tired of the weather... just wait a minute because it's sure to change by then! Shocked lol

I use this table and love it. It fits in a bag that you wear on shoulder. I put a velvet black cloth on it. I also put PVC pipes on the legs to make it taller. I got mine from Target in the camping section.

Good. I'm glad that I'm getting the thumbs up from people. I ordered it and hopefully I will have it next week. I keep seeking the perfect set up...... I'll let everyone know when I find it..... sigh! confused

I would love to see your PVC extensions. (Just had one of those goofy thoughts.... PVC hair extensions --- a handyman's version of dreadlocks! lol)

So, anyway, if you happen to have a picture I would love to see it. I made a pretty sturdy display board out of pvc... I LOVE hardware stores! lol

I have it for camping. It is too short for my painting although I had not thought of the "leg extensiions".

I have that table, only I have the slightly larger rectangular one....the square on is too small for all my stuff...LOL
I use it when I do festivals or events where a table is not being provided.
The slats only have a small crack between them, as the elastic banding holds them pretty close together, but a table cloth completely eliminates any problems there. It is also easy to transport and carry, and really easy to set up.
I don't use mine alot because I require a table be provided (and I specify dimension requirements) for any paid event. If they can't provide a table and need me to provide it, I charge an extra setup fee for having to haul a table with me. For events that are iffy, I keep it in the truck just in case I need it.

Well, I got my table last week. Haven't had a chance to use it though. It's painted aluminum rather than silver and the table top doesn't really roll up it kind of folds up like a paper fan. It actually came in 4 pieces: the table top, 2 support bars and the extendable base/legs. There is a bit of assembly to put it together everytime, but I think it will work. I'd like to know the weight capacity of it (not like I'm planning on dancing on it anytime soon! lol) It is very light and compact. It should be large enough as I have a Fat Max that I plan on working out of (thanks to some very clever people on this site!)

Here is a picture of an extention leg up against a chair to give you an idea of the size. I'm 5'9" and this size table works well with me. Sorry if I'm posting the pictures wrong. It took me forever just to get these up. I think I'm still doing to wrong. Sorry. http://i67.servimg.com/u/f67/13/97/02/41/march_16.jpg

I've found that if there isn't a table available I CAN work entirely out of my FatMax. I have a 4 foot table from Staples that I bring to fairs and such but I don't usually bring anything but my FatMax to parties.

Metina.. what an ingenious, helpful lot you have on this forum! Very Happy

Judy - try the Op shop like I did. That is, "Opportunity Shop", like your Goodwill. They usually have lots of towels in our favourite Op Shop, and I got a very large dark green bath towel for $1.50 last week. Since my directors chair is also dark green, that will be nice for my table to have the green towel to match, and yes, I plan to wipe the excess paint on it, like Debi said.

I'm scratching my head - last time I was in Canadian Tire (that was last summer, though), they had all kinds of stuff - camping chairs, tables, etc. It seems weird that you have to import stuff from the States. Is it because it's the wrong season? Bummer if so.

I'm putting together a neat table setup that's fun to do, as I'm "adapting" things that originally had other purposes. I'll describe it and put it in another thread when I get it done.

Kat I love you

Funfaces, how long are the PVC extensions? I'm an inch taller than you and would love a higher table. Excellent idea.

Thanks, Magna

Is it wobbliy? I'm a super-clutz and bump into things all the time! Althought, I imagine you could make a brace for the bottom out of pipe fittings. I do love PVC.
