The various points I am looking to use are Safe Face Paints, The Different Kinds of Paintings (Cheek art, full face, body painting, etc.), The history of face painting both as an art and for other uses, turning it into a business, ...

Hi guys, hope is well with you and yours..........

I had been going back and forth as to whether I wanted to get a practice head or not, especially since the kid is pretty much over being my model, and I'm gettin kinda tired of painting on myself. Anyway I wasn't all that jazzed about shelling out the $50 or so bucks to get one, but figured I would try a P2 practice pad.

When I went to order the practice pad I saw they had the face shells as well for like $10 bucks maybe?? Well I ordered ...

Hello everyone!

My name's Lauryn, and I hail from Detroit, Michigan.

I've had an interest in art since I was little, and had self taught myself how to draw, paint, and make crafts as a hobby. However, I had not thought I could go into business doing so until about a week ago when I volunteered to face paint at a Church function. Afterward, the parents there asked if I did parties or events, and while researching how to start up a business to do so found this lovely site.

So, as of now ...

How do you get the gig? Do you offer to pay them to let you be there? How do you ask them if you can solicit their customers for money? Do you just show up painted and do some samples for the staff? I have tried a couple of emails, but never get a response.....

Hi everybody,

Anyone try/use the Detailz range by Mehron??

I bought the black white silver and gold ones thinking they would help me with lining and fine detail......

not so.

They smell kinda like a texta, and you have to redip the applicator thingy over and over and over, everytime you do a detail. You also have to hold the little pot in one hand when you redip as it's such a snug fit you have to pull the lid and the pot with two hands. This doesn't work for me and I find the little sponge ...

So sorry I disappeared for a while, but I have been working and painting like a mad woman on my tent walls. My inspiration came from a lady on another forum who painted a beautiful garden & fairy design on her tent walls for a ren festival. Well I had to give it a go and I'm so happy with how they came out! I drew it out with a white pencil and then painted it. The design I chose translates to my business cards and web site. Plus, it's gonna give me a black background when taking pics. ...

Am I in the minority? I love how it looks, especially for cats/tigers, but the design gets messed up so quick! I know we are not responsible for what happens to the design after they leave our chair, but I feel so bad letting someone go who I just *know* is going to mess it up very soon - just by speaking or drooling or eating or drinking or licking their lips. I almost feel like it might be my duty to find designs that are awe-inspiring and do NOT involve the mouth. But I still have not ...
