Hi fellow facepainters, new and established! I am happy to have stumbled upon this site. I hope to learn many things about the facepainting world as time goes by. Here's my story in a nutshell. Last year my family and I attended the Kodak International Balloon Fiesta that is held here every October. My daughter wanted her face painted. The woman painting her face was a true artist. I've seen some very unimpressive facepainters over the years who charged way too much for the work they did, but ...

Hello everyone!

My name's Lauryn, and I hail from Detroit, Michigan.

I've had an interest in art since I was little, and had self taught myself how to draw, paint, and make crafts as a hobby. However, I had not thought I could go into business doing so until about a week ago when I volunteered to face paint at a Church function. Afterward, the parents there asked if I did parties or events, and while researching how to start up a business to do so found this lovely site.

So, as of now ...

My name is Keisha and I live in Dagenham, London. I'm a mum of two (a 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter).

Not counting the time I tried painting my nephew and nieces' faces with my set of watercolours when I was about 15, I started face painting 2 years ago. I can't quite remember how I got the face painting bug but I think it's incurable. I have been dabbling with the idea of going "professional" for a while but have only started to consider it seriously in the ...

I'm Anna. I live in Orange, CA (originally from a little town up north called Ukiah).

I recently graduated from Chapman University, where I got my BA in Art and a minor in Math. Soon after, I began face painting for a small company here in Orange County! My sister began painting for them first, when she saw their ad for new face painters on Craigslist, and thought she'd give it a go. I had a lot of theatrical makeup experience, so she told her boss, and got me the job! I've been with ...

In my former life, I was graphic designer at a national magazine. Why hadn't I thought of that before? And I've been hooked (read: obsessed) ever since. I've been scouring this forum and have already learned so much. And I have a lot of questions...

Hi, my name is Jenni from Spokane, Wa. I love the forum and it has helped me a ton! I am new to posting, I could hardly figure it out. I started face painting this year as an add on to our jump castle business. It is so addicting! I wanted to find out what the best paints were to buy. I did a lot of research the first time I ordered and got Wolfe black and white and a neon/metallic pallete. Now I need to get some larger sizes and don't know that I love the Wolfe White. I searched the ...

Hi all

New to the forum from Toronto area (most bookings I have are Toronto, but I'm "from" a suburb).

I originally started with makeup, was asked to do airbrush tattoos, and then was asked to face paint - most of what I do is airbrush, but pulling out brushes and sponges doesn't bother me either.

I found this forum a few days ago when searching with Google for what the Alberta regulations actually were.

Hi!
