I have been trying to convince my husband that he should come and paint with me at the bigger events.

The last couple of days he has been playing around with my paints (and my very wriggly 2 year old that will never ever sit still long enough for me to paint her) I think its not that bad for a first real attempt and I know with a bit of practice can only get better.

Anyway... what do you think? Would you let him paint your face.. ?? :p

There are so many variations on a theme...endless possibilities! Are there a set group of full faces/cheek art you'd recommend mastering before venturing out into the public? Either I picture myself having to tell someone I can't do their request, or I try it anyway, and fail miserably (like with my daughter, who now only wants Disney princesses painted on her, and I tried Ariel and look at her reaction!) Oy! Ariel the floozy

I tend to drop water onto the cakes and let it soak in for about twenty minutes before using. So, I'm guessing I'm making them far too wet in the first place.

This is what I was thinking.....
cheek art - $3
eye design - $5
half face - $10
full face - $15

does that sounds about right? My boy friends says that sounds really low and he was worried we weren't going to make back the $400 for the booth.

Hi gang,

I have so many questions. I'll keep it short and sweet.

How do I become a member of CAFABA?

Is there a place on the net I can go to see a schedule of face painting workshops?

How young of children would you work on? Or does that just depend on experience and design?

How do you clean your brushes between clients at festivals? Do I need to place the colors I will be using onto a pallet for each client? If so how do I do that?

Help? And thanks!!

I just ordered over 300$ in paints, brushes, supplies and such *blush* so now I;m just waiting for the mail to come with bated breath!
