I am BRAND spankin' new twister - I got my first qualitex and ketchup pump yesterday. My 4 year old really enjoyed the fruits of my labors.

I am having the hardest time with tying the balloons off after blowing up. It is really, really hard! Do any of you know of a good tutorial on how best to do this? I have been watching YouTube vids and nobody really shows how to tie off well, I think it is assumed that the viewers already know how to do this Also, is there an inexpensive implement ...

I have been seriously considering investing in some equipment to start airbrushing. I think I can throw almost everything together except for the guns and ink. So my question is....should I invest in a gravity or bottom feed? or do I need a dual action? How many guns are really needed to do these two things? and does anyone have any brand recommendations? Any and all info anyone has would be greatly appreciated...thanks all

Hi ballooners..

I was thinking about starting balloons... Well, I was thinking about practicing and was wondering what I should get to start out and to try it. I know about the red ketchup pump from reading around and when I look at it I wonder... How does the air go into the balloon? Do you squish it, whatever?! When I start things I usually just buy tons of the first thing i see and end up selling everything off that I don't want/need. (As you have all probably noticed)

Okay, ...

Okay, so I am thinking of taking up twisting. I have never done it. I was wondering, how difficult is it to do really? As opposed to face painting that really took me over a year to feel as if I really could do this feeling. Is it something that is usually pretty easy to pick up, or rather hard? I have seen some pretty elaborate balloons, I am sure that takes a long time to master...I am not sure if I could remember how to twist some of these...

any input is appreciated.

Thanks ...

For birthdays, I bring fp and bt stuff, unless they only want one or the other - package deal. For PPF/B, I will bring both kits.

For large paid events, though, what do you do? I'm saying that if I'm at an event by myself, I will only be offering one or the other - not both. I've got tons of stuff to take for events, and re: volume, it's a time waster to be switching back and forth...not to mention each kid will want both so it takes twice as long for your line to move. We made bouquets of flowers for cernterpieces.

We both blue up all of the blue balloons(which turned out to not be enough, and we ended up blowing up about 50 more...)

That's what I did.. but now I get a lot of ballooning gigs(because if Ryan is unavailable, he recommends me.)
