Search Latest topics | Had fun 'Jammin' in BC, Canada Thu Mar 11, 2010 12:14 am by CATZ Kristal and I got to meet finally at our jam session in Langley. She's in Surrey and I'm in Mission (about an hour or so apart). So we met halfway. What we didn't expect was not every restaurant WANTS free facepainting. We were going to meet at ABC Restaurant (a family restaurant) and I called ahead to make sure they were OK with us meeting there and practicing a bit. 'Nope'. They were not interested and never would be...apparently they have an older clientelle. Weird, cuz I just met with the owner of the Mission ABC today and he's booked me for the next month and he's paying me. Anyway, Kristal found a place for us to meet 'Me 'n Ed's Pizza' and although it was quiet, we found a few kids to paint. It was fun to chat about the business in our local area and discuss opportunities to grow. We looked at our set ups and tried out paints. Kristal gave me some tips on line work and made the cutest balloon bugs for my girls. I told her not to show me too much balloon stuff cuz I can't afford to add another obsession to my life Kristal's ladybug is attacking us! ![]() Not my most flattering photo... ![]() I made a sign for us, loosely based on the 'Space Jam' logo (the kids movie): ![]() ![]() Comments: 2 | Statistics We have 6830 registered usersThe newest registered user is simonagandola Our users have posted a total of 153024 messages in 10309 subjects Who is online?
