First Split Cake
I know, I'm on the late show.
But I received my first split cake last night. I purchased the DFX Neon Rainbow cake (from the forum shop of course). It's now my BFF. I'm in love with split cakes. I'm definitely going to order more cakes. [wow][/wow]

Re: First Split Cake
You can also make them your self. It is cheaper and you can decide the colours and where they should be =)
Re: First Split Cake
LOL, me too! Have you tried making fishes with them? Add a bit of bling and they are magnifient!
But, you will find the center colors get low FAST.
When they do you will learn about how to make your own, or you will need to throw it away.
At first you can take a Wet One (antibaterical wipe for hands and face), and push the outside edges down, making it all flat again. Eventually you need to add more paint.
I take the cake and soften it in the microwave for JUST FIVE SECONDS!! Then I give the cake a quick spritz with water. Next, take a very sharp knief, and carefully cut a line between each color, and along all the sides, cleaning the knief with a Wet One (antibaterical wipe for hands and face). With the clean knief, push the colors to the sides - this makes them 'taller' again. Again with a clean knief, cut a slice off a cake of paint of the missing color, and just lay it in. Pat it all down with a Wet One.
You will extend their life a great deal that way
Enjoy them, I sure do.
