Challenge: Pole Dancer

Post by Kristal on Fri Mar 19, 2010 9:01 pm

So I have a membership at a pole dance/fitness studio (no, no plans to be a stripper...I'm not very good right now, but it's fun and MAN are these classes a work out! The cardio ones, anyway.) and last week my instructor asked if I could twist a pole dancer - this is what I came up with!

Not all that tricky - my biggest 'issue' was actually figuring out which position to put her in, haha. This is mid-'rodeo' btw - she's going backwards! Very Happy

LOL - the pole dancer balloon is the one to make you want to twist? Awesome! Haha.

Thanks! The pole is a bit bent (HA!), but overall I'm pretty pleased - it's still 'clean' (ie not obscene, haha. Although my brother did ask why I made her boobs so big.) but totally appeals to a different group.

Jen - if I ever meet you, I'll make you one! (I don't really trust mailing a balloon sculpture - by the time it made it across the border, it would be half dead!)

I'm strange like that. I prefer quirky and awesome to average, and the fact that someone can actually twist a pole dancer is awesome, which makes me want to do it to.

As for the boobs, tell your brother you were making them true to character.

Speaking of mailing a balloon creation: Has anyone ever done this? I know keeping balloons cool/cold will help them last a long time. I'm wondering about mailing one packed in dry ice? We've also wondered if they survive travel on an airplane. Anyone know?

If the sounds of balloons popping didn't make me jump so bad or that squeaking noise (you know the one like nails across a chalkboard) lolol didn't make me wanna cringe every time I hear it....... You two Kristal and Ashley would have sooooooooooooooooo converted me into becoming a balloon artist. I mean Dude seriously those are great.

Those that can......make great art like you guys
Those that can't ( like me)................ sit patiently and wait for you all to make me one.

Who would have ever thought that the words balloon and pole dancer could actually be used in the same sentence.... lolol

I like to think that the world is a better place now that "balloon" and "pole dancer" can be used in the same sentence!
