Any Tips for me?

Post by billiebcc on Fri Mar 09, 2012 10:49 pm

So a friend of mine found out that she is expecting. This is a blessed unexpected event and she has agreed to be my test bump. Smile

Does anyone have any tips for me? Or what I can search for for tips?

Thanks!

I love painting bellies!! Make sure mom is comfortable while painting. Ask if she wants a break, they pee alot ya know,LOL. And I always have some fruit and snack items in a bowl close to them along with bottled water or other drinks just in case. My sugar would drop fast sometimes while pregnant so I like to have some food on hand in case.

Have fun painting! cheers

If mom wants to lay down, get her to lay on her left side, to allow for proper blood flow and oxygenation to the baby. Smile

The best tip I read here (and I read and follow a lot!): do the drawing while mum is standing, then she can be lying to continue painting, otherwise the image could lost its shape when the belly stretched (OMG, It's so hard trying to explain it in English, hope that makes sense Rolling Eyes

Zero gravity chair for mom and a mechanics stool for you. I had a mom in labour want me to finish the painting because the chair was more comfortable than anything she had it home. She was 9 cm when she arrived at the hospital after leaving my chair tongue
