What are your favorite splits or one strokes for flowers

Post by HillbillyDiva1 on Sun Mar 11, 2012 5:20 pm

What are your favorite splits or one strokes for flowers. I have the bright leaf, the rose one and the peacock in the one stroke and 3 of the paradise prizm and a split I made with teal blue and purple. I'm teaching a flower class in May and want to buy or make a few more before then. At my other job painting parasols I paint many different flowers and my other local face painters want me to teach them the patterns. When I paint the parasols I don't have the luxury of having splits or one strokes because I use oil based paint pens because they dry fast and keep the parasol and design waterproof. So what is your favorites?

I like the Berry split for roses because you get that little bit of darker tone. My favorite for the big roses is the Magpie with black leaves and then silver glitter gel.

Here's the thread where Tash posted the body painting that Jinny did...and Lilly showed off her lovely version. Mine aren't nearly as good but I LOVE the look of it....so elegant. I'll do the same with a blue one-stroke. Make flowers and then use the dark blue at the end for the leaves and stems.
