accordian bottles

Post by anniel on Mon Mar 26, 2012 2:49 pm

Picked up some small (maybe 40 ml.) soft plastic "individual condiment" bottles at the local Big Lots--(3 for $1.50) & transferred glitter gels. I am loving them! They squish together as you work,(no air pockets)--(& Suzy's caps fit on them just right). Just so handy...my henna is going into them next!

Wouldn't the stuff get caught up in the accordion creases?

Why would using the glitter gel in those be better than the bottles that they come in??

I actually got some of those accordian-style bottles with a cupcake decorating kit. I've been debating whether or not to throw some glitter into them, since I haven't used them for cupcakes... I bet you could get a really high-powered POOF with them.

I can see using them for dry glitter, but I have to agree...for wetworks...not so much. I have one for cake decorating and I hate the thing because of the folds and all of the trapped icing that I have to manhandle out.

I seem to be able to regulate the flow a little better than I can when I get to the end of the bottle on the regular ones. (Even with Suzy's, which are nice to work with.)

I don't know that there's necessarily a better or a best of the two...but just what works best for you personally. ( I even took one of them and filled it with cayenne for an emergency pepper spray...)
