I just got my 9 Starblends with a foam pallet!! I can't wait to try them out. My question is...when they are in the pallet..do you keep the lids on them?

I am a huge starblend user and have been for several years, I was always afraid to sponge paint, but I have recently stepped outside of my comfort zone and have done some sponge painting, (yeah! and I am loving it!) I have also recently split my starblends I have a pink and white, red and white, green and orange and a yellow and orange. I also recently started using them wet instead of dry, I have never done this before, but man let me tell you the colors are way more vibrant wet, especially the purple one, which I never liked, but now I do.
If you use starblends wet you will see how the paint drys into a matte finish.

I have used the starblends in really humid weather and it does still melt away but maybe just a little less than regular paint, but not by much.

you do have to use more paint on your brush when your painting over dry starblends, I use a big blush brush and go over the whole face before I start painting, it helps get the excess off, they can be dusty.

I will always use the red for my spiderman faces.
I will always use black for over the eyes ( skull or monsters)
I will always use white for over the eyes and muzzles.
I will always use the pink for many girly things.

I still use the smoothie blenders but I also use compact make-up pads.

my name is Tracy from Pretty Cool Faces and this is my first post.
nice to meet all of you.

Very interesting. I might try them wet too one day. They are way cool, go on so easily and cover so much area quickly....

For now I have lots of Wolfe Bros. paint, and like how it goes on so will stick with that for now for wet but good to know.

I have dropped mine and they crumbled, if you drop yours you can put a few drops of water in it, put it in the microwave for no more than 10 seconds and press down with the backing of a spoon and wala your paint is good as new, this is how i made split starblends.

Me too - welcome to the crew! I also use smoothie blenders most of the time, but compact make-up pads for covering large areas. I also like how I can "curl" the make-up pad around my finger and get in exactly where I want to. Smile

After reading up on all the Star Blend compliments I decided to try it out at my little kids B'day party today.

I am glad that Metina will be carrying these. The product goes on well but you DO need to have something like a lollipop or stick sponge to have control of it. Even though I used my black paint for lines, the SB seemed to escape me a bit more than I wanted in some places until I discovered that a small, stiffer brush was a help.

I did a lot of power rangers today.

The red eye effect actually looked kinda cool so I left it! Smile
Some negatives: It is very dusty and you may waste some product if you are not careful. I just used the stiffer brushes to pick up the loose product by pouncing it gently in the SB dust and then pouncing more gently on the face.
