The In Laws

Post by friend_soscho on Sun Apr 01, 2012 3:03 pm

VENTING::::

so, today is my birthday. we are visiting my in-laws. My sister in law is supposed to be coming for lunch. Her words were that she would be here after breakfast...Hello ITS THREE in the afternoon.

She knows my husband is taking me away for the evening. When she gets here, it will be time to go.

Oh, and did I mention that I have two little ones...I am glad that I fed them a little something earlier.

Seriously - this is ridiculous.

We MUST have the same in-laws.

Therefore, we are related!

My sister in law used to be like that, until she had her own baby 5 weeks ago. Suddenly, she understands that parenting means considering your baby's needs before your own. Now the narcissism has ended. Sorry you had such a rough time, but I hope you had an awesome birthday away with your hubby!

Well, it was an awesome birthday. She did show up - and we had a nice sit down lunch. Then the hubby and I snuck away for the evening.

Ah, to have a vacation from parenting for a few hours was revitalizing. It was a nice break, and he and I got to have a date night. It was wonderful.

We'll see how it goes this next weekend. She is meeting us at my father in law's house for Easter.

Oh, and my husband said the other part of my present was to get FABAtv

Should I do month to month and see if I will use it? Or just take the plunge and do a yearly subscription?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my FABAtv. I do it month to month because when I signed up, it wasn't in the budget to pay the full annual amount, but I watch it almost every day. I find the designs SO inspirational and the techniques are priceless! I have been able to speed up my designs considerably because of the techniques I've learned! If you aren't 100% sure, you could try it for a month and then upgrade, but I don't know if you get the "free bonus" if you do it that way. Right now they are advertising a "Brush basics kit" which is 6 face and body art brushes, brush bath, and a practice pad. If you get it for upgrading, I might have to upgrade since I use it so much! Happy birthday again! I'm glad you and your hubby had a great date and that he understands your passion the way he does! So awesome to have a good man to support you like that! Smile

Happy late B-day, glad it turned out so nice. Smile I have a year subscription to Faba, I really enjoy it. If you're not sure how much you will use it or it isn't in the budget just yet, the monthly is a good way to go. Either way, you will enjoy it.

Considering I have been coming on here for a few months now, and checking it everyday (usually multiple times) i guess I should take the plunge!
Very Happy

Thanks for the advice!

I am in Marietta - north of Atlanta. I saw that you were looking for someone a year or so ago for a friend in Cartersville. I am not too far from there - about half an hour...which anything in Atlanta, you are close if you can say half an hour.

I go to Tampa a lot to visit family, and I have a cousin in Jacksonville that I have been meaning to see. So you were one of the ones I was thinking of being able to swing over and actually meet.
