Fat Max replacement parts!

Post by a face painting mom on Sun Apr 01, 2012 5:21 pm

I hope this link works! I had my the handle to my fat max break like Denise's did a while back...so my husband found replacement parts on line and they have nearly everything you need from Stanley if something goes wrong with your Fat max! Better than having to replace!

Did you keep your broken one Denise? I think the very same thing that happend to you, happend to me last night. First, it kind of got "stuck" with the yellow buttons sticking inward, then, I got them to kind of click up , and I moved it, and the whole darn thing snaped off! All I could think off was...this just happened to Densie! My husband saw it, as I was just pulling it in the house after a gig, and he thought for sure that Stanley would have a site with replacement parts...ten minutes later, I had parts on the way! You can even get a new tray! I did not get too much into it, but did you see that they have tool boxes made for the fat max too? Oooooh....what can I put in THAT?

Stanley completely replaced mine. We had to send it with UPS and then they sent me a new one back. It took about a week. It came back while I was in Vegas.

Everyone....from now on please buy your FATMAXs at Home Depot... They will replace it if it breaks! p.s. My second "child", Maxine, had a problem the 2nd time I used her... one of the aluminum pins in the hinge on the lid that opens fell out as I was loading her into my car and apparently when she was all loaded the weight of her bent the pin. Didn't notice until I took her into the event and opened the lid and it hung askew and saw the pin was missing. Luckily, I found it on my car seat but it was really bent. I am going to call Home Depot today and see what they think or say... perhaps they can bend the pin back straight for me.

Martha, the same EXACT thing happened to my Max last month and that's when Home Depot gave me Maxine.

I do so love the convenience of the FatMax... but jeesh, I can't say it enough; they really need to make it sturdier. We are just face painters....how in the bloody heck can they possibly hold up for tough construction crews?!!!

It is just that handle! We use our Max for the tattoos, so it is heavy, because it has the compressor and all the stencils and glitter it in, but how heavy would hammers and nails be? Max is a year old, and had gotten quite a work out, but geez o pete, we really cannot live without it now. I have my paints in a "Maxine" but it is the Plano rolling tool box, a little taller, slimmer, lighter, and it has drawers! Love it for my paints! So we have Max and Maxine!
