Hello all E-tip jar lovers! Smile
I realize this is an older post. I am just curious to know if this tip jar is still working for you!
I am looking into buying it and the prices have gone up considerably since last year!
After probably a year of owning this tip jar for many of you, do you have anything to add to the pros & cons already mentioned here?

Thanks for all your help!

Still loving mine. I know of no cons except kids love making it ring. definitely make a lid. I have my home-made lid taped on and there are still those nosy kids who try to pry it off thinking it's ok for them to "see if I've gotten anything." I also have a good fist-full of change in the bottom of mine to help weight it down. I love at the end of the day when it's so stuffed you can't fit another bill into it! Very Happy cheers

My electronic tip jar is still going strong...I had to finally change the batteries on it 2 weeks ago because it started acting possessed. I have dropped it so many times and it has never even cracked - sturdy lil' bugger!!!

I'm afraid to use mine....
Tipping really isn't part of our culture here, so I just worry about putting the tip jar out.... Wouldn't want to offend anyone by making them feel obligated to tip me....

I have the same tip jar. I have it right next to me and I empty it frequently. I have it on a little stand so everyone can see it. The kids love to hear the noise of it.
Mine is highly sensitive....sometimes it just goes off and the red lights start flashing.

I thought that if you were at a festival that you couldn't use a tip jar. I only use mine during free face painting to get more pictures....Please tell m the protocol

i use mine at festivals, craft shows, any ppf events, "some" free events. If I've given the business that hired me a discount, I always ask if I can put out a tip jar to help recoup the amount lost.

I don't use it for birthdays, targeted low income free events, or events where hardly any parents will be attending (school day functions). When I'm not sure, I bring it and ask the organizers before I use it. If they say no, under the table it goes.
