Glowing Skull

Post by loola on Tue May 01, 2012 8:38 am

Hi Everyone,

I want to give my skull mask an extra something for a shoot I have coming up and would like to try and replicate the glowing "halo" effect seen at the address below on the face.

Any tips? Do you lay down your white so that it is larger than you skull base, then place your line work inside that or do you paint in the Halo after?

Yup. I'd sponge a white area larger than where your outline would be. You can blend it into the blue as well if you like that color scheme. There is a crisp white edge on the outside of the black outline that gives it an illustrated feel before you blend into the blue. Part of what makes it stand out is the black background.
