mama clown glitter

Post by SmileyBee Faces on Tue May 08, 2012 2:02 am

So I purchased 2 of the mama clown glitters in neon pink and neon blue. Im not really liking them at all. Does anyone have pictures using these colors or something similar? Im wondering what types of designs they will look good with. thanks everyone.

I bought a few other colors, too... but stopped using them because I just don't think they are as effective as the White Fairy Dust. That is the only glitter I use for kids designs.

yeah, I only use white too... matches everything. The one time that I had a couple other colours of glitter, the kids spent 10 minutes saying I want THIS one and THAT one too... really? green and pink glitter both on your blue tiger? ummmmm back to white we go!

I use White Fairy Glitter from Mama Clown. The Neon colors glow under black light. I have been trying to use up my whacky colors: Pixie Pink, Purple, Blue, etc., in hair, as the finishing touch at birthday parties.

There are two main types of glitter out there... opaque glitter meant for glitter tats, or translucent glitter meant for poofing over face painting to give it that extra sparkle.

It sounds like the neons you got are the opaque kind.

I got MC white fairy dust and and fruit punch poofers, which are transparent... and I love them!

I also use the white fairy dust, but not the colors. I did get a free neon orange in an order a couple of months ago, but it was a little TOO opaque for me.

Use them for glitter tatts! The kids nearly always ask for the neons when they see them!

That's what I did with mine... I put them out to pasture in my glitter tat kit last year.

Pashur has a cool way to apply glitter...You dip your damp brush into glitter, lay flat on design & roll your brush. I use this technique alot.

It's the only way I do it anymore! Sometimes I dip the handle (for thinner coverage), sometimes the brush end (for thicker coverage). But I don't "poof" anymore.
