That's true Martha. I'm only thinking about it for the green and blue. Maybe I can just do 1/2 side. One thing I did try that worked pretty well for highlights on the skull is to spritz a smoothie and just pick up the loose powder and it didn't wet the cake. Probably couldn't do it on a regular basis though.

vegas mom...please do, and I'd love to see it too.

Someone had mentioned scraping some of the Starblend into another container to use wet (Starblend dippy pot?). Seems like a lot of trouble though.

Denise.... I have a weekend festival and left all my supplies there overnight, so i can't do swatches for you yet.

If I can remember my blending browns correctly, I believe I have Ebony, Oriental, Light Egyptian, and I think Med.Tan....

You know, I REALLY wish we could make a plea to Mehron and encourage them to add additional colors to their Starblends line. It seems like we are creating a demand for it! Their purple really leaves something to be desired for coverage. I wonder if they know that they would really succeed with additional colors...? Question

I don't understand how the red and orange can be so vibrant and the green and purple and blue not when they are about the same saturation. Maybe they stained too much when they tested them? I'm not going to buy a purple even though I would LOVE to use a purple with the pink...like for tigers.

I'm not in a big hurry so when you can.

The purple blends with the pink decently.
I think the green is very pigmented - no problems with coverage for me.

I guess I need the puffs for the green and blue...they aren't working very well with the smoothies like the others.

Finally did a comparison on application with the smoothies and the makeup wedges. The wedges actully gave better coverage BUT didn't hold as much product so you would have to reload. Top is done with smoothie and done with wedge on bottom row. BTW colors are Moonlight white, white, yellow, orange, pink, red, blue, green, grey, and black. (Moonlight white is very close to white but has a blue/grey tinge)

What a cutie!!! Love that shading on the bandana, I'll have to incorporate that in. I just figured out yesterday I can do the beard background with the starblends too. Duh.

I used the small smoothies that I got from Michaels for the eye patch line moustach/beard, his "mole", and the bandana shadowing.... the foam tip is about the size of a pea.

Most of my boy designs are done with starblends. My pirate was one of the first designs I did using starblends. I usually paint dots on the bandana, but a skull would be cooler for the boys!

I LOVE my Starblends! In the heat of Florida...it really helps keep the kids from wiping at their face. They are fast and very comfortable to wear. My 3 year old will even wear it without smudging for a good long while. I also always keep wipes for the face with me and just about every kid gets a wipe down 1st. They are just too sweaty for me to not clean them up a bit. Mom's are always thankful for that too.
I didn't think of using SB's OVER paints with the Bam stencils though! THANKS!!! Can't wait to play with that and I love the way your 2nd snake face turned out! I'll be practicing that one too!

I like the black on the edges of the spidey...very nice. I made a cool spidey/venom inspired by Mr. Corey last night. It's in paint, but would be pretty nice in Starblends too. I decided after looking at pictures of Venom that I shouldn't do webs...it looks more liquid-y that way.
