adjustable height... maybe even for each leg individually for events where you are on uneven ground? Wood would be awfully heavy compared to some kind of plastic.... A lockable storage section? Everything has to have wheels.

height! height! height! (says the 5'11" amazon over here)

collapsible
lightweight
area to display signs
light/lamp holder
storage
handle or carrying case

My current camp table has most of these features minus the height. I can't find a picture of it online but this one is quite similar:

These other ones are awesome, though. The REI one shows a video of the setup:

I like the storage for an overnight gig. You could just take the storage away for the night after you closed up your tent.

This one comes equipped to deal with a pumped in water supply for hand-washing:

I'd love a Mr. Gadget-type table myself. Just push a button and it all folds out and then back up when I'm finished lickity split for me. oh, and if it had little legs in order to climb up in my vehicle like in a disney cartoon, I'd love that too. maybe with little hands to take my brushes and wash them while I'm painting... Guess I ordered the wrong fairy dust, huh.

Until Disney animation is available for me, my fat max will have to do. Although an artist-on-the-go table would be quite nice.

I have a question for anyone who uses a camp kitchen:

Would one be able to work with a camp kitchen if they are a sit-down painter? I gravitated away from them because last year when I was in the market for a better set-up because I figured they were too high for me to work from a sitting down position. But I have way too much crap to deal with now and need a bigger surface than "Maxine" can provide (I'm talking about the big events).

Miss Ronnie,

I made a support system for the open lid of my max by taking two pieces of foam core cardboard, cutting them to the right height, taping them together for stability, and they fit under the open lid (place in the v-groove at the top and the bottom up against the tires) and it provides strength for the open top. Then, I took 2 additional pieces of foamcore, taped together, cut to the size I wanted, and I punched two holes, one on either side, and bungee it to the open lid area for a bigger work table area. on that surface, I have velcro strips that I attach my card holder, tip jar, paint cases, whatever I want to sit on that bigger surface and it works for me.

I'm thinking (when there's money again Surprised) hee hee) of getting a second Fatmax for the festival overload. Also, I've thought of having a Fatmax just for the glitter tattoo set-up, and to tote maybe a few extra things in the bottom section. I imagine two could provide more table space, Ronnie.

The only drawback on THIS end is I couldn't fit both in my car and still at least PRETEND to see the road behind me Surprised).

So ... I'm thinking ... (when there's money again Surprised) hee hee HEE Surprised), of getting a VAN.

Hee hee hee ... excuse me while I go cure myself of that "when there's money again" thought ...

Surprised)!!!!!!!!!!!!!
