Best way to clean Mop brush?

What is the best way to clean mop brushes? Can they go in laundry like sponges? How do you get out the stains?

I used to use mop brushes & hand washed them, rinsed them & wrung them out as much as possible. I then dunked them in Rubbing alcohol & let them dry completely. Pain in the butt & they fell apart quickly. Now I use the Martha Stewart Pouncers. They are in plastic holders & can come out & be washed w/ my sponges in the washing machine. Luv them!
