Okay then, Miss Smarty-Pants (totallly a term of endearment in this instance!)...

How would you make the scarecrow and the lion simple...because I have a hard time editing myself. I would set out to make it simple and the next thing I know, it would most likely be an exact replica (30 minutes later!!!)

Take a look at the website for this event and see what goes on at this festival...

(The children's park, where I'll be, is always centered around that which is familiar to the kid's... which is, of course, the movie.)

awww...dang I want to go now! I adore his work and would love to do a costume from one of the obscure characters You'd be great with some of the munchkin style makeup and some glamour princess stuff. Boys you could paint huge handlebar curly mustaches and a curl on the forehead

You could always just focus on the muzzle and hair of the lion, keeping the rest of the face really plain....

sorry. Just saw this. This is from about 3 years ago, but I thought it worked well enough.

In hindsight I would have added some wrinkle lines.

Hi, I am also painting at an Oz Festival next weekend and have come up with some designs. These are all my original designs, but you are welcome to use them. I know most of them are cheek art, but maybe you can get some ideas. They are all really simple and fast....I am also painting faces for some of the characters in The Wizard of Oz play at our theatre next week. 4 nights of practice and 4 performances!

Thanks Hoobie (my new nickname for you!) I pictured my yellow brick road to OZ almost exactly as you painted it!.... I think I'll line the road with the orange poppies. I don't think I'm going to have the luxury of time on my side to get too extravagant with my work. I know I have to edit, edit edit myself.... my BIGGEST problem!!!
