Dropped a guest--EZ-UP Chair

Post by anniel on Mon May 28, 2012 11:38 am

I LOVE my ez-up director's chair--it's a tad higher which my back thanks me for & comes in a cool bag to keep me from destroying it en-route. It also has a YEAR (Note that!) guarantee. Mine began a small tear on the seat seam...I figured I'd repair it after the weekend, as the warranty JUST expired. Saturday I had a senior gentleman (Thank Heaven he WAS a GENTLEMAN!) tear through it almost instantly. He was gracious about it, & the chair is going out with the trash--but wanted to share a heads up NOT to continue to use No if you notice it going south!

I'm glad he wasn't hurt and didn't cause a stink about it.... or that he didn't threaten to sue!

WOW! That could have ended bad huh? Funny how alcohol can actually help in situations like that!

May I ask about your set up? Is that a case you just open and "go"? I LOVE how organized it is! If it is a case....what kind?

Thanks!

Thanks, Becki! The avatar is a Plano,I went a bit smaller the last time I exchanged it (I love warranties!) to a Pelikan (life-time guarantee). I really like it, but have to periodically de-weight it, as it fits so much & my back rebels lifting it into the car. It has wheels for dragging. It never allows water in on downpours, gets me through security fast (it's a gun-case), special handling on flights (never hits the conveyer belts--goes straight to the office)--Plus I have enough space EVERY time I go somewhere. Last weekend I did a gig where they never even arranged a proper table (just a tiny 18' square)--but I was okay anyway off the armchair...just laid it open...

I feel organized & don't search a table forever for that one item I have misplaced--it lives in the same spot always. Definitely worth the investment for scatter brains like me who want it all, but then forget it somewhere...& easily upgrades your presentation to the client as a professional.

The down-side is that it does make a theft target...lost a full set-up last summer from my daughter's car, because someone thought it was firearms--so bling it/mark it--unless you're walking through the hood & want people to feel scared...hehe (I've gotten some mad respect!!)

Sorry to hear that, but couldn't you get a new seat made by a seamstress if you don't sew yourself? I'd can't imagine throwing it out if that's all it needs.

It wasn't all...I kinda forgot I put it under the car for safekeeping when my 15 year old left with my keys, and when we got in the car, well, you get it...

Fortunately I have a back-up!
