DFX Metallic green

Post by lemonlimer29 on Tue Jun 12, 2012 12:03 pm

I applied the DFX Metallic Green to my kids arm and it stained for several days and can't seem to get it off completely.

I'm scared to use it on faces as masks, etc for fear that a parent will complain. Has anyone have this happening? Do you use it on faces?

Much thanks,

How did you try to remove it?

i love the dfx metllic green. all green seams to stain a bit...but you may have to wash it a few time...I find that Ivory soap gets the paint right off the skin..but then you need to put lotion on....

I have the same thing with metallic blue from DFX, the dark blue stains very much.
I only use it on bellies because of that, on a face it would be a problem if it does not come off completely.
Sometimes I advice the person being bellypainted to use bodylotion about three hours or more, before I come to paint.
Usually it comes off easier then, because the lotion creates a small barrier between the skin and the paint.
Without lotion and with dry skin its more difficult to get it off, because the pigments seem to sink into the skin a bit.

I usually suggest olive oil, allowed to set in a while, then gentle soap and water- no scrubbing. The stain WILL go away- it's not a tattoo.
