Sealing paint

Post by Painted Dragon on Mon Sep 28, 2009 3:30 pm

Those of you who do adult painting, the ones that make appointments, do you seal off their paint so they can have a fresh look longer?

If so, what do you use and what do you tell them for removal?

Thanks!

Hi Kristal -

I have used the Mehron barrier spray (before and/or after) painting on adults. I have also used Finesse Hairspray.

I tell them to just use a mild inexpensive shampoo like Suave or baby shampoo and to apply gently and work into a lather on the skin with the paint AND THEN step into the shower and rinse. Most of it will come off if their skin isn't too dry and I didn't use too much Wolfe.

Nothing. I paint them OR do regular make-up depending on how long they need it to look good/last. I never use barrier sprays.

I will suggest hair spray to set the paint, but never supply it myself. I have used barrier spray if the painting is on an arm and they are sure they want it to last several days.
