Iron Man Designs?

Post by Kristal on Thu Oct 01, 2009 2:58 am

Have yet to paint Iron Man, but I've just had a request for it for an upcoming event...Googled some pictures, and it doesn't look tricky - wondering what your versions are like? What do you do to give him that extra oomph?

Thanks. I tried to give it a little depth by "dirtying" it up with a sponge and some snaz black. Every time I paint it, it always seems to look like an African mask. I wonder if the original artist at Marvel Comics had something similar in mind.

Hey Smitty, I think that might be design that even I could pull off! Thanks!
I abhor yellow though and have zilch in my kit...except the Wolfe and that's a little too "sunshine up your butt" for me. Do you think the Interferenz Gold would be a good substitute? Do I HAVE TO buy yellow paints?

It's only tricky because the lines are all symmetrical. There's almost no shading and no blending.
