FS: Jewelry Trays

Post by sweethavenarts on Tue Aug 07, 2012 1:40 pm

SOLD!!
I've got THREE jewelry trays

One is black and has 18 spaces in it, two are white with 32 spaces. They are both the standard size of 14x7.5. They are flocked. I know some people have used the flocked ones to hold paint with out a problem. I swear I'm developing some sort of adult onset sensory processing disorder because they just feel funny to me.
$8 including shiping in US.

I just saw the thread on re-potting paints in these things...how well do they fit into one of those black lap top cases? I'm wondering if I could fill one with my solid colors and still put a row of split cakes underneath and close both levels in a lap top case...any thoughts?

The jewelry cases do NOT fit in a laptop case.

...and you may have to click the pict for proof.
But they DO fit into into these trays... http://www.fdjtool.com/ProductInfo/DTR1100.aspx
And split cakes, in their own containers, fit into those trays too.

And they all stack into the bottom of the fat max.
You can see where my new set up is going... Very Happy
The 32 space tray there has about 10 grams of paint in each. I did a FAB paint co op so it's only a partial amount of paint. As you can see those would hold at least 20 grams, and the 18 space tray would hold more.

Thanks for the pics. Lol, yes I can see where you are going with it...no Fat Max here, trying to come up with a new or better way to be easily mobile using what I've got and spending the least amount possible. I have to create a new kit for a friend that's started working for me....I have two laptop cases and trying to avoid spending full price on two more if there's a way I can manage with what I've got and a little ingenuity. study

Can you cut those trays in half with scissors?

They are soft enough to cut with scissors.

Are they shallow enough that if cut they would fit in the laptop case (and have the case close securely)?

I am interested also but would only need one I think... Are you selling one of the trays also?

I don't have any of the main trays for sale, just the square compartment trays.
They would fit depth wise into a lap top, but I think only one side would fit ie you couldn't put a jewelry tray on both sides of the lap top and expect it to close.
This would fit in the bottom of a tool box, I'm sure. I have an empty tray to put on the top of my stack to cover it all.

Are these still for sale? How much would shipping to Ontario, L7G4M6 be? Is it $8 for all 3?
