One piece of advice....

For all you long timers, what would your one piece of advice be for someone joining the facepainting world?

When I was thinking of doing face painting I never considered all the driving...I don't like it but it's part of the business. You'll need a good reliable car.

Oh, and don't price yourself too low because you are just starting out. Practice until you are worthy of the market price in your area. It would be better to offer a deal off your regular price than try and raise your prices later.

Do your own research. Don't blindly rely on what other people tell you as it will not necessarily apply to your situation.

Use common sense.

Oh yeah... check out my ebook... Cool

Just do it. Get out there and don't be scared. "If you build it, they will come." And, GigSalad.com has been good to me.

BTW I'm kinda new too as far as running my own business (been face painting for years) but I'm enjoying it so much more right now than working for others (clients not included).
