I have been copied ugg!!!

Well, I was just informed about a copycat near me and now I just saw my photos stolen and used in someones display boards! Ugg!!!

Why do people do this?! I don't mind the copying designs(as long as you aren't in my area), but those are my babies!

Well, that was fast! She took the photos down and apologized. She said that it was her first gig and wouldn't do it again So all is well again!

If only I can just get people in my area to stop copying me even down to the same biz cards(new ones are being ordered this week and more professional) Just have to keep reinventing myself

It's a Vistaprint logo. She probably ordered her cards there.

This is exactly why I'm havIng my logo done by a graphic designer instead of a generic from vistaprint. Does anyone have some advice on how to watermark photos? I want to put some up from the festival I just did, but want to protect myself from getting my photos stolen

The biz cards were Vista Print with the butterfly face. You can change the background to be any color you want and of course she picked pink, too!

I was planning my next order anyway with a professional place so it's all good. I had about 25 cards left. Probably won't have the new ones for my next few gigs, but I'll have them quicker then Vista Print

yeah when using vista print this happens...there are a few others that use the same design as I do on my banners...they are in different states...just notices when looking at peoples set ups on here.....I will to one day...get my own logo and cards to match my banner photo board...I just haven't done it yet....

Next time I'll be using a picture of my own!

I use the same Vista Print logo but in a different layout and "Halloween" colors (purple & yellow)... I also use the same layout but cover the cartoon kids with my own designs - wish I could share photos but my camera is MIA!!!!!

Oh man, Oh man. I too am guilty of using that same layout. Very pretty design. I ordered quite a bit of them, hopefully will run out in a few months ALTHOUGH seemslike not too many from the forum live in AZ so I might be okay! [Crossing my fingers]

You can customize your card completely by creating your own full card as a jpg, or creating a background or just uploading a photo of your best work to put on the card! This does solve the issue! Here is one of my old cards...I'll upload a couple of new ones for show and tell! LOL

I also used that 3 kid pic from Vistaprint, but next time I'm putting one of my own face paintings on my card! As for that facepainter, it's a little like "cheaters"...they're only sorry when they get caught, or they'd still be doing it, lol. Good thing you caught her!

If I where her I would fear for the day that someone would catch me with their work posted on my page. How awful that they think its okay and the think they are worthy of steeling someones art. Im soryy for everyone that this has happened to.
