Finding Your Arty Brush DVD

Hiya,

I recently purchased this from Silly Farm. And must say at $25 it was a good value.

Positives
1. Great to watch the actual brush stroke motion.
2. Lots of designs demoed
3. Reasonable Price

Negatives
1. It rarely showed the actual ABC she was using and some of them are clearly not the ones available yet, thus making it difficult to duplicate.
2. Too many Silly Farm plugs
3. The video production could be better, but for $25, it is still a good value.

I agree about the silly farm plugs. I was also very confused about who was actually teaching/painting/speaking. Was it Rebecca or Heather?

Otherwise it was a good video!

Rebecca is an excellent teacher - in person. I've not watched the DVDs but can say if Rebecca is doing the demo she is thorough and easy to understand.

Rebecca was painting and Heather was doing the voice over and yes it was just a tad weird. I loved that Rebecca demo most stuff three times, but did also see that she is human, didn't always lead with the right color, didn't load the brush well enough ect..... Her errors actually made me feel like, "Yeah I can do this too" It isn't so over the moon and untouchable.

Someone who decides to do a DVD/Book combo will see loads of sales.

But this is better than the original spli cake DVD? I didn't get to see it but some beginner painters & their kids I taught in NZ had it and were laughing hysterically at how 'useless' the 1st dvd was, last year.
