Western theme gig, need a little help

Post by facesbybelle on Thu Oct 11, 2012 12:00 pm

I have a western theme gig in two weeks and I needed some ideas for some quick designs. I will be the only one painting! Appreciate any help I can get... thanks in advance as I know there are tons of talented and creative artist that will come to my rescue... Cool I have posted a few pics of the ones I already have.

I just did a western themed harvest festival.....definitely have some easy to do things like cowboy hat, cactus, horse (not so easy for some), boot, sheriff badge (star w/ "sheriff" written on it)

What I found was that 2 people got the horse (one turned it into a white uicorn with rainbow hair lol) and that was it!!! Everyone else chose one of my regular designs ie; cherry tree, snowflake princess, butterflies, spiderman, etc.

Definitely have some wetern stuff, but have some regular stuff too!

Here are a few "indian" designs (for some reason I think cowboys, and I think indians lol)
Oh and a horse (nobody ordered this one, they just got the cheek art horse)

I thought Indians and cowboys too, as you can see by my pics lol!

Tina,
Forgot to mention that I already have some regular designs. The lady in charge specifically asked for western theme designs and I promised to email her some pics. Smile

I bet, but I can't sell anything at this event. School is paying my rate and I'm painting for only two hours.

well great, even better! lol Seriously, kids LOVE mustaches...even the girls! Some of the girls wanted purple or lime green mustaches with glitter....they're so quick to put on them too! They love that they get to choose "what style of stash" to have too. I put this paper into a picture frame and stood it up on a little plate easle (dollar tree) on my table.

Tina,
Think I'll buy two sets to start, see how it goes. I'll glamourize one set with color and sparkle for the girls! Thanks again Razz

Lasso curling around face, stippled beards (did this at a cowboy costume photoshoot in my other business, it looked so real the models were shocked!), simple teepee, wagon, steerhead (skeleton), cowboy/cowgirl boot cheekart, princess horseshoe crown

I love the Indian princess and the little hat and mustaches. I have my first PPF event this weekend and may have to use that idea!

MissHeidi,
Glad you like the designs! Good luck with your event and don't forget to post pics! I know sometimes we get crazy busy and forget. Lately I've started taking a pic of the first child I paint, that way I have at least one for my album!! Razz
