Re: Post Entries Here!

Post by ParTIA on Wed Nov 21, 2012 5:19 pm

Hi all- here is my second entry Smile It was so much easier painting small details on myself, my littleone couldn't quite stay still enough.

Background:

Begining Detail:

Front View Final:

Side View (Snowman)

Side View (Snowlady)

Close up Detail (Snowman)

Close up Detail (Snowlady)

So I just looked back and realized that my design looked almost exactly like the One one page One, I didn't use it as a reference... I honestly thought mine was an original (as original as a snowman can be at this point). Anyway, I will remove mine from the competition, It was really unintentional. Tia Smile

So I'm finally getting into the holiday spirit, lol. Here's a simple snowflake butterfly mask.

Tools
BAM stencil 1036
Sponges
No. 2 round brush
1/2 angle shader brush
homemade splits: For top of eyes - snaz light blue, DFX sea green, DFX Metallic blue and purple (Snow Blizzard). For outline of butterfly and teardrops: DFX white and metallic blue.

Step 1 - Load large sponge with Snow Blizzard split, pinch tip of sponge and start sponging for the inner corner of the eye.
Step 2 - Load 1/2 angle brush with the white and metallic blue split. Paint outline of top wings.
Step 3 - with the same angle brush and colors, paint bottom of wings and add big teardrops at the top.
Step 4 - Load smaller sponge with Snow Blizzard split. Sponge center snowflake with BAM stencil 1036. Sponge center of snowflake with the snaz light blue in the middle. Load other side of the small sponge with DFX white and add more snowflakes on each side.
Step 5 - With DFX white add starburst, dots, and highlights to center snowflake with no. 2 round. Add glitter!

step two:

Step three :

Step four:
