Post by kingsmeadmama on Wed Nov 07, 2012 4:18 pm

Who else is pigging out on their children's Halloween Candy?

I certainly am - not good!

I'm Christina, and I am addicted to sugar. Embarassed

ha ha ha--- I started a new work out program about 3 weeks ago and I don't want to flood my body with sugar so I eat about a peice (ok 2!) a day. That is one way I stay away from candy and all teh food at this time of year---start a taking care of your body system in October and buy some new clothes for Christmas!!
So far it is working for me!

PS: Reese's anything are heavenly!

Guess who went to the after Halloween sales because her kids are too big to trick-or-treat. Sigh.

It's my duty as a parent to introduce these small disappointments in early in life. (plus diabetes is bad for them...)

I bought clearance candy after Halloween to put away for Christmas stockings.

No guarantee it will last that long. Razz

I always thought there was a "Mommy Tax" on my children's candy.

Sigh.
My children are too old to Trick or Treat.

my parents use to tax us 10% of our candy---
we would come home, count how many peices we had and give the ones we didn't like to our parents--it was hard when you had less then 10% bad candy and had to give them the good stuff--mostly It was a win/win!

How much candy do they bring home?
We have a similar day on new years eve. Last year they went with friends going round the neighbourhood. What they brought back home with them was really out of control. ( I only counted the milka leo wafers : they had 52 and the packets of crisps: still in stock in the basement from last year - just too many to eat)
