Wolfe has a new dark purple I used at Halloween, similar to a new deep blue and dark green. Also LL, did you know they also have airbrush paints now?

Willoughby, I did some swatches on my arm. I added 2 reds also. The Fab Rage has been my "go to" red after I found DFX & Wolfe too "Orangy" for me. Now that I took (?Fessy's &/or Denise's) advice here on FPF & bought both the Paradise Beach Berry & Wild Orchid, I can see the berry is RED/RED & the FAB beside it appears to have more orange. THANK YOU, guys. IMHO, the Wild Orchid will be great for dk purple outlining. I have used & love the Wolfe Metallic Purple for sweet lil girls outlines, since I prefer lighter colors on the very young "flys".

Left to right:
Paradise Wild Orchid, Fab Lilac, Fab Purple Shimmer, Fab Magenta Shimmer, Wolfe Metallic Purple (newer version...it's lighter!), Paradise Beach Berry & Fab Rage.

In case you haven't noticed, Fessy, I, too, suffer from E.V. (Excessive Verbiage). Perhaps that's one of the reasons why I love & admire Shannon & Perry SO MUCH!!!

Yeah, I am not WILD about them. My hope is they will work on the formulas and colors a bit, and offer them in larger packages at a lower cost.

How are people finding the staining issues on these new super dark purples, greens and blues. My Wolfe metallic green always stains me, as does the Paradise beach berry, for some reason. I'd love to try some of the new Wolfe colours, they look amazing, but I don't want parents complaining! Smile

Oh, wow! Thank you all for the replies and especially for the swatches, they help a great deal! I am especially liking the Wild Orchid, that looks like it could do exactly what I would like it to do Smile I hope it will be good enough for outlining Question Will have to give it a shot Very Happy

My skin's pretty dry, so there was a mere shadow of the bottom swipe of Magenta shadow left after 2 washes (see above) All gone w/3rd wash. I use paper towels soaked w/water & a scant amount of any No More Tears Shampoo. That's what I routinely tell my parents & I've had no problems.

The darker Wolfe paints actually come off my skin easier than some of the "teals". For some reason, that color tends to stain me more than anything. Usually any color comes off with a second wash though. I usually tell parents to use their child's shampoo as well.

Thanks! I do that too, and most of the colours I have no trouble with, but that darn metallic green just leaves a faint mark no matter how I try. On my arms anyway, maybe because the skin is drier there?

Teal stains me horribly! It doesn't stain my daughter though. Yellow stains her!

I love this thread... purple is my favorite color and I always want MORE purple... wild orchid will be in my next order for sure! I did recently buy wolfe dark purple (I believe it is called Lilac) I like it quite a bit. Now I need a really pretty purple shimmer! I am going to have to check out the party xplosion brand- I hadn't heard of it until today. Thanks Ladies Smile

I forgot to add that my daughter has olive skin and tag light blue stains her! Whenever I have used it, she has a blue "tint" for days... it is amazing how different colors affect certain skins. I have very fair skin and yet am very rarely stained. Sure, it might take two washes to get a dark color off but it doesn't last for days.

Daphne, does the PartyXplosion metallic purple stain like TAG?

I haven't had an issue with that. In my experience it comes off quite easily.

I used the dark raspberry in this makeup instead of black. I used black to outline the bones though. I think you can see it pretty well on the hands and a bit at the throat.

I love the Kryolan Dark Purple!

Global Purple is now my go-to Purple colour. Rich, saturated colour.

Happy Painting!

But maybe we should each cut one up & share, so that we have a "go-to," paint for that annual super obnoxious demanding guest so we can giggle uncontrolably into our pillows in the middle of the night for the next week. After all, it's only paint, right?
