Yeah I had two take as well, but I've had car wraps damaged too. So, Eh, cost of doing business sometimes.

I always find it odd that people feel the need to damage or steal something like that just for fun.

About 6 months ago I was in a home invasion, 3 guys with a gun in my face, that made no sense either. Took $60 and one ring.

Strange world we live in.

I had mine stolen too, though they were just cheap ones from Vistaprint. I went with a rear window wrap instead, and love it.

My last RAV4 was silver, the one before that was white too... before that was a white Tercel (before I started hauling around make-up kit!!)

If you are a aggressive driver, I don't think advertising on your car is a good idea. I was harrassed by another driver who claimed I cut him off on the highway while driving my school mini bus (logo and stuff on the bus). I had to file a police report. If you are adefensive but good driver, the car advertising is a great idea.

And on top of my car wrap I have personalized plates "FACEART"... try driving dangerously when you are THAT easy to describe!! LOL

The cops know me well - I used to work at the RCMP Detachment and am on the board of Crime Stoppers...

When I worked at the detachment (BCW - Before Car Wrap) it was impossible to do anything without one of the guys commenting "what were you doing at X last night?"..."so you were at the X show"..."did you see Y at X? They were there when you were."

It was ridiculous... it is a small town and they know everyone.

I'm just glad I'm a decent driver...

Ashley, what kind of deal do you make with restaurants? I think it's a great win win idea as restaurants can really hurt for business during economic down turns like now. Do they advertise for you when you'll be at the restaurant? How often do you go?

My background is sales, marketing and graphic design and I agree with what you all are saying. It's all about building relationships of trust and getting the word out. Appearance is critical and projecting benefits to the customer vs. a list of what you can do. Sell FUN and the WOW factor. People buy two things...solutions to problems and good feelings. Facepainting is a solution to 'what can I do unique for my kid's party/event', 'what will draw people to my event' and definitely provides good feelings.
