A Quick and Easy Butterfly Tutorial

Post by vinnie on Fri Nov 30, 2012 12:07 pm

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd share my latest viedo. It's one of my favorite designs to paint at a party. I hope you all like it. Your feedback means a lot. Music annoying? Is it easy to follow? Thanks!!

Great tutorial, and I've never seen an angled flat used that way before, so I definitely learned something today! Your voice is very soothing and pretty, by the way. Smile

Thanks for the great video.

EVERYONE hates how their own voice sounds! Unless your Alicia Keys or Carrie Underwood, it's understandable. You have a very nice voice Very Happy we are our own worst critics...

I think it was great. Did you say which rainbow you were using? As an avid student at YTU, I always like the products listed. I'd love to see a tutorial on your avatar too.

Duh, never mind. I just watched again. My kids were talking at the beginning the 1st time I watched. What went into your homemade split?

This is so great! I love the idea of using one brush for almost everything. And I'm not very good at teardrops, either.

Thank you everyone! She's definitely my cutie pie. Smile

I love this design. Again, that brush is my favorite, and with this particular design you can do most of the painting with that brush. It's so much fun to try different sizes of tears drops to change the shape.

Here are a couple of more designs that I use my 1/2 angle brush for, and again I use the same brush for pretty much the whole design. Smile

If you ever get a chance to take a class from Lynn Jameson (sp?) jump on it. She is like the chisel brush/angled brush queen. Look up her work and you'll see what I mean. When I first saw her paint a butterfly outline with that brush last year I just about lost my mind (didn't take much effort actually...I'm not all here IYKWIM)...she does it so fast but I'm going to get it down one day...

Fantastic video! Normally I hate music in a video, as it can be overpowering, but yours was so quiet I hardly noticed it! I need to get some angled brushed now! Smile
