This is the guy! http://www.sillyfarm.com/store/index.php?p=product&id=2698&parent=281
I got mine two FABAICs ago and it has held up to severe punishment and the foam that holds the brushes and keeps them from getting smushed has reall bounce back power! I over load it constantly, force it shut, cram it in a suitcase at the bottom...still ticking! If I remember, I'll take a pic! Well worth what I paid for it!

It holds 32 grams perfectly! It is intimidating the very first time you cut your paints up... but fear not, for behold, I have cut mine so many times... potted, re-potted, re-repotted, cut, spliced and re-re-repotted!

Some brands get crumbly over time. When I need to make them a bit more pliable I place them on a piece of wax paper, sprinkle a drop or two of water on them and microwave for 8 - 10 seconds., then mold them into place using the wax paper on top as I smush them.

Oh, and some of the colors are snazaroo - they've been re-potted for over 6 months with no degradation at all... HTH!

I am planning on ordering some more solid colors for my kit, anyone care to share their opinion of the FAB paints? I haven't heard much about them... Are they waxy like the DFX or more creamy? Any color recommendations are greatly appreciated! Smile

I love the colors you guys have. I am still working on building my paints. Not to say I don't have a few. I also barely cut a couple of mine...Light green, dark green, a bronze with a brown(that one was difficult..the bronze just crumbled all over the place), pink with a darker metallic pink, and a blue with a metallic blue. I bought a kit of rainbow cakes and a few one strokes. I would love to make my own rainbow cakes/one strokes, but everything in time I guess. Otherwise i will go broke. Laughing

You know, it occurs to me that I used the flocked tray inserts and that might be why the snaz isn't reacting with it at all. Out of my 64 colors, about 20 of them are Snaz... so, yeah, it's working out great!

The tray with 18 slots is big enough to holds 2 arty cakes side by side. If you look at the start.of this post their is a link to where got this idea and in there she puts 2 one strokes in the c

Rebecca, I think that the original arty cakes would fit great in the 50 opening tray insert. The openings are 1-1/8"x1-1/4" -

The only problem would be not being able to hold the little cakes in your hand...

You can hold the tray!! Lol
About the 50 slot, it is too short to hold current tag and other onestokes unless cut and manipulated (

If you decide you don't want it, let me know! I have a ton of those mini cakes that would work great in the trays. They really do make everything so much easier.

Doe, did you try putting the one strokes in the 50 slot tray? I did... and it was an epic fail for me. You cannot properly load your brush with those tiny squares. I will be using the larger 18 slot and laying 2 one strokes side by side in each slot.

Re: New setup, LOVE IT!!

I haven't - I have 2 of the 32s and 1 of the 18s. The 18 works PERFECTLY for a tag rainbow cake - you just have to squish it the tiniest bit. It works for two arty cakes (the longer ones) laid side by side. But, I have about 15 of the little tiny Arty Cakes - the little 1x1 ones? I mean I have those and some DFX ones, too. And - I'm trying to figure out how to not have 15 little cakes hanging around. I want to put them all together... anyway - I'm thinking of getting one of those 50s, cutting it in half so I have 25 and then using a half for the other side... depending on what I need most. I have a few more rainbows and one strokes now than I had when I first filled it... Still thinking....

do you guys sterilize or wash the trays before putting the paints in? if so, how do u do it? just wondering about possible residue left on trays from manufacturing process. if they are not made specifically for facepaint might they not be sterile? just a thought , I love the idea of repotting but this is the only thing stopping me. love to hear your thoughts.
