Thanks Sneezle and the back is ok, I stood often and stretched. Not much driving either,...thats usually the worst. Both jobs were relatively close. I love your hibiscus! Did you design that yourself? It is gorgeous! Shocked

The indian head is a hockey team logo for the Chicago Blackhawks. It was a special request from his wife because he was the birthday boy. Laughing I was terrified because I had never painted it and had to go off an image on my cell phone...he seemed happy with it though.

. Seriously? Cuz wow! Immediately recognizable! I'm not familiar with the logo in its minute details but I had no problem recognizing it even in a small picture.

PrairiePainter: I found a hibiscus crown tutorial from shawnaD on You tube. Don't know if a can post this link but i'm gonna try.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zA0ByeH0oWg&feature=player_embedded

I saw a tropical design with a colourfull flower but i really wanted to make it with a hibiscus so it looks really tropical. I used the inspiration of others to make my own combined design. I hope this is good English, i'm always searching for the right words. Sorry for my bad English and spelling.

PaolaSunglow lovely faces. Gorgeous designs. I'm also a bit slow but i'm a perfectionist and want to make it look good Wink I guess every artist is a perfectionist Wink When you keep practicing your hand will paint faster and more steady. Keep on practicing. I really love your little butterfly!

Katurah, thank you for your sweet compliment. I really have to try that crown on someone Wink have to find a victim Wink

Yesterday evening i did try to make a hummingbird but it's more like a cross between a flamingo and a hummingbird, a peacock and maybe a little snipe. I made the beak a bit to curved and thick. But anyway, it's a cute birdy. I attached a few gold details......

And two little one stroke butterfly's....

Sparkles...

@ Erica love the indian, great job!

@ Sneezle, your Hibiscus is beautiful and your bird is so cute!

@ Paola, those designs look great, alot of faces in a short time is not easy. About 2 months ago had painted about 40 to 50 faces in 4 hours, I was totallty beat afterwards and still don't know how I got to do so many faces in that time.... If you want to be fast the only thing is practise!!

You guys have been busy! Beautiful work,
Sneezle, that crown u did is so similar to the one I said I wanted to try! I could picture it in my head, but when I tried to paint it, ggrrr. it just didn't look right. Will try again.
Paola, you shouldn't be ashamed of taking so long at your party. did you look at your photos? They are great, and people asked for cards, so they must like your work too.

Carmen (Sweet Illusions) Gorgeous work! Great bubbles, i can see the shade, it looks good Wink Beautifull flowers, love your rose. Beautifull butterfly with the curls, did you use a metallic splitcake??? Love it! Beautifull teardrops, they look great.

Silversky, Shall i try to make a photo tutorial? I still have to try it on my own face but maybe i can make pictures when i do. You have to choose where the light comes from and shade it at the opposite side. For the parts you let the metal cross you have to shade both sides of the underlying metal. I didn't use a example for this crown, just did what i wanted to try Wink I only wanted to try my copper coloured paint i bought. I really think you can do this. Go girl! Try again. You can do it!!! Very Happy

Paola en Katurah thank you for your compliments about my straight lines. I'm practicing with a Mark Reid brush no. 1 with long hairs. I'm not used to painting with such a long brush and i'm nog always satisfied with my lines. (maybe i'm a bit perfectionistic). Most of all i'm really irritated about my black, it is not covering enough and when it is covering enough it is to thik. Sad
And, Laughing Hamming/Flamingo is a great name for my mixed up bird.
I did a buttefly near my daughters eye to find out if i could make it on her face and it worked. Have to make a picture when she gets home.

@ Sneezle, what do you think of the mark reid brushes. I have the chisel brush and I love the fact that it's so firm. I'd like to know what you think of them? I'm thinking about buying some round brushes from Mark Reid.

I only have the Mark Reid Round Brush # 2. To be honest i don't have much grip. But the hairs of the brush stay in shape and are smearing the paint really good. I really have to try the other brushes Wink

You are are just awesome. what great work! I hang my head in shame! I have noticed... I need to paint on my body parts more. do more detail. i am always in a hurry ... so long to do a face and make them as happy as i can without too much detail..shading etc. I also teach painting/craft classes and always doing something. soo i have decided i need to give some of that up!!!! and enjoy mainly face painting...and sit and doodle more... not time rush!

I see a lot of love here.. and glad i have found you guys for such inspiration. and for new ideas etc. and for finding new friendship...even if it is "keyboard" friendship. it is great to have some to talk to ..or see examples in the same thing of interest!. Thanks for this forum and others!

Welcome Monna, I recognize you hastiness painting a face, the same over here. It is really difficult when children are wobbly Wink But if i practice a can make better fast straight strokes. Im exited to see some of your work.

I recognize what you are writing Monna. I really enjoy sharing my work with other people with the same interest and passion. It encourages me to perfect my work and make
improvement. I do really enjoy talking about it with you guys! Thanks all!!!

Paola if i have time i will make a photo tutorial Wink
