vanessa, i just tried the spidey with a homemade split because I saw this. it really cut down on my time. i just did myself but I'll try it on the kids next weekend. we have "spiderman" coming to the event this week so that'll prime the kids to ask for him. thank you so much!! ps the split i made had hot pink instead of red. oops. but the lighting is not good in this room. i'll make another Smile

Brilliant idea and it looks better than regular spidy. I'm trying this, thanks! Question, since you said you start in the middle and I see it's evenly divided both sides.....is the black in the MIDDLE of your cake?

Tweetsie, I'm glad you liked and good luck with your event!

Tina, no, the black is the edge of my split cake. I do start from the middle with the black away from the center. After I've painted the forehead with the split I come back to the center and use the edge of my brush with the black. I sometimes leave this step out since I'll be going over the black with a round no 6 for the web. Hope that makes sense. Smile

Awesome! I wish I had seen this waaaay before now. Spiderman is always a big favorite request and this looks not only so much quicker, it looks so much better! I love it, thank you for posting!
