Animal Testing

Post by kingsmeadmama on Mon Mar 18, 2013 12:22 pm

How animal friendly are the most common brands of face paints - TAG, DFX Wolfe, etc... The only site that I can find which says anything at all is Snaz.

I have an event coming up, and based on it's location, there is a good chance this question is going to come up from the parents.

I have tried contacting a supplier directly, but they couldn't answer the question either.

Since animal testing for cosmetic is just banned in Europe, one could then possibly think that euro brands would be the paints to use for this event, if you have any

Good point, Nina. I don't have any euro brands at the moment.

Given its usp of natural ingredients, I'd be utterly surprised if paradise was tested on animals... Is it them you called?

It seems odd to me that people would ask me if this paint was tested on animals,
while I am turning their child into a
bunny,
tiger,
kitty cat, etc.

But I was just checking the msds of some paints and it said things like... Isopropyl alcohol, injected into skin of rabbit, reaction severity:moderate.

/cry

Sure, I'm glad it's safe for my kids, but geez ...

Oh. So if you check the msds sheets, it should say, I think.
