I, too, bought the jewelry trays...

Post by Ashley Pickin on Sat Apr 06, 2013 11:45 pm

Loaded them up(still making them pretty) and tried them out at two parties today. Loved them! I would recommend them to anyone. These came from Nile Corp. Any recommendations on how to keep the trays in their respective sides of the box?

It's soooooo pretty! I love the looks but still am not convinced that I could handle the small squares.

Thank you so much for sharing those photos! Looks great! Velcro would be good for sticking them in.

I didn't trust the size of the trays either.. so I bought several of each. I like the 32 and 18 count ones the best. The 50 is too small.. the others seem too big... I used sponges and brushes with mine today and there were no problems!

The way I see it, there are three ways to possibly keep them on their respective sides.
1. Velcro
2. Tape
3. Glue

Of course, the first two are if you want to be able to take them out later Laughing

I love the look of these trays but according to the website they are made of PVC. Is it safe to use with cosmetics/face paints?

I have had mine in the same trays from the same place Nile Corp. for over 3 months now and I love them....I wish I had gotten the trays that are hinged rather than the stackable ones though. Those look really nice but I wonder if they would fit in the top of my fat max. My stackable trays fit it perfect but it would be nice to have a lid. Are the measurements 15" x 8.5" as well Ashley?

Ahhh, so you can use sponges with rainbow cakes pretty well with this?!

They look great!
Do you just cut the paint out of your palette and put them into these?

Dear Ashley:
If I had hinged jewelry trays, some of my paints would fall out and blend with the paint in the bottom, if they were velcroed in to face each other when closed. Instead of securing both inserts to the tray, I would probably pull one side out before closing and stack it on top of the other insert before closing the hinged lid.
I have the trays without hinges. I just stack them one on top of another for transport.
I hope this helps, even though it is not the answer to your original question.

xoxo

Thank you! I understand it's a little confusing a since I resurrected an old thread but I hated to start a new one since these are the trays I want. Hoping someone here has a little more info.

Are the jewelry trays 1" or .5" deep?

You repotted your single colors very nicely! Although it doesn't really make a difference, I sometimes cringe at the look of some people's paints after repotting ^_^
