Lightning McQueen and Thomas

Post by CPFaces on Fri Dec 04, 2009 2:01 pm

Hello All! My son is a huge Cars and Thomas fan. Anyone have designs or stepbysteps on these?

Here is what the Cars Characters look like:

And here is Thomas:

Can anyone help me with this?

Here is one of Lighting. Not mine though. Wish I could give proper credit. I will look through my emails.

I tried copying Thomas off a DVD box on my son's arm and took step by step photos. The yellow headlamps are a bit off (too big) and the contouring on the face took me forever but I'm sure there is a way to simplify.

If anyone does find an easier way -- please share Smile

I do my thomas just like that although I dont bother with the contouring on kids faces.
I just do a thin black line for the cheeks nose and mouth... doesn't look nearly as nice as your face but does the trick.
I usually leave the silver stripe across the bottom blank and the red with just the black circles.. just quicker that way I guess and no one really notices.
If I did have a little time I usually add a white highlight down the chimney and across the roof.

Sorry I don't have the SBS and this pic was taken with a phone, but here is the Lightning McQueen I did for my nephew by looking at his sneakers. It was really easy.
