Well hello there. It's good to hear from you, were neighbors. I've been doing face painting for about the last 6 months. I really enjoy it very much. How long have you been painting?

Thanks! I bet you could find a youtube tutorial on dolphins (or even sharks and just change the mouth/nose). Other than that, practice, :-)

Great, thanks kris. I really have a problem with split cakes and the sponge, but i guess with practice, it will get easier. How long have you been painting for?

Well, I started way back when I was in college working for a children's entertainment company and I would go to birthday parties, block parties, company picnics, mall openings, etc. and I would go as a character (clown, princess, elf, etc.) and tell a story, do 3 magic tricks, face paint (simple cheek art mostly), make everyone an animal balloon and hand out a lollipop and sticker. I did that for about 2 years then got a job in my field of study. Fast forward until I was married and had kids of my own. I still had my old Kryolan fp palette and saw face painting at the zoo or mall and of course my kids wanted it. And I said, oh, I can do that! and so I started up again. So I guess it has been 2 years + 6 years over a span of 20 years. Now my kids have been painted so much that they really don't want it anymore. :-( But I have young nieces who still love it! :-) But I don't really do it for a living/occupation but kind of a side hobby/business. Some are much more busy / active at painting than I. And many are much better than I. :-)

Well it sure is nice to hear that their are face painters near by. I've been leaving here in Downey for about 6 years now. I think that would be nice to meet up with ninaschau.
