Herro everyone . . . well here I am posting some picturesv for the first time *nervous giggle*

that's a maple leaf I did on meeself for Canada Day Razz

I met a guy who had this reference picture all ready so I did half his face as the dragon, I wish I had modified it a bit to make the top teeth continue on in that length.

Here's my usual ironman, do you have any quick fix suggestions for doing all the metal contouring? I'm not sure how to other than time-consuming blending.

and there's a princess quickie Smile
Well there we go, I have officially made it from stalker out into the open as a contributor!

Hi guys! Thanks for your kind words!

I have to say, the designs I painted are not mine, but saw on the net and copied - or tried to copy - them. I think, the hedgehog is the best till now. I did not mention the original artist because I don't know who it is, but thank you if that was you! Smile

For the butterfly I used the Paradise Prisma 'Flash' of Mehron.

Just practicing, and practicing, and practicing... Smile

Thanks Prairiepainter and Paola, the ironman took me about 12-13 minutes. Just all the one-color-and-then-another.

I love that badger!!!

Spelongberry 12-13 minutes sounds a lot but really isn't when you notice how much details you have incorporated. If you wish to cut down time i would suggest to test yourself to find out where your time get used most and see if you can use alternatives or practice to improve speed. I use a timer and pick to see what takes me longer. For example sponging or brushing in the color or switch the color base for starblend. In the end like Valerie always says is practice, practice and practice. Your version is really cool i would try and keep the quality as much as i can.flower

Valerie - that was only paint!! Thank you!!!I will definitely advice you before hand! Very Happy
Just received it in the mail!! Yeah ... Can't believe i am saying it still!! cheers

If Ironman is taking a long time maybe save him for private events when you have a little more time to devote to each kid. And maybe come up with a pared down version for high volume events. He looks really cool though. I especially like the blue color on the eyes.

Welcome Danny! Look forward to having you will share with us.

Spelonberry, I forgot to mention that I really liked your maple leaf and the placement on your eye, very nice. And you are only 16?! Lots of talent, girl! Wish I'd known how to face paint at that age Laughing

Paola, Thanks for the warning Wink ...WOW those were UGLY, in a good way Cool You will be all ready for this fall with those perfected!
I I love you I love you I love you your bird with the "lace underneath." Wow! that is good. How did you do the lace? And your butterfly!!! Beautiful colors! What kind of paint and what colors? and I notice you seem to have a stencil on it too...which one is it? You did that perfectly.
Oh, and Thank You for the brush tip! That is a great idea to use a splayed brush that way!

Post by PaolaSunglow on Tue Jul 30, 2013 5:44 am

Thank you Val!!I love you  This is very encouraging!! bounce cheers
The bird was my first from one stroke Donna Dewberry.
I was doodling and testing my lines next to the bird, when i thought to change it into a lace. The end of the lines i only wiggled the brush around to stop the lines somehow. Then i lye down my brush as per flower petals just smaller in groups of three. On the other raw loger tears drops and lines around them, and in last raw again flowers petals.  Is a bit wonky but is a start! Very Happy. Ah then just added dots in the middle.
The butterfly is my favorite colors too!! They are Tag Brisa, all pearls : white, lime, teal, purple. Then i used a mini stencil from the design collection 3028 i think, and sponged tag berry wine.
So happy you liked it!!! Very Happy
The brush was just me trying not to give up on my favorite one!! Very Happy
I love you
