Re: has your child gotten into face painting because of you?
I was already planning to attend the FABAIC convention in Orlando come May~ but I found out today while pursuing the registration fees that my son can register too and will be able to take the kids classes!!! Tt's for ages 6-16! (he turns 6 in March)
Anyway, I showed it to him and he is just super excited and ecstatic now! (we had already decided to make the Florida trip a 2 week family vacation and this will just make it better!
and I just think it's so AWESOME They are having kids classes! yay!

Yep thats exactly what Sierra did, it was great, she loved it, learned how to juggle scarves, twist balloons and paint. She had a blast and everyone knew her name and was saying Hi to her all the time we walked around the main room. Nick Wolfe painted her as a pink skull the first day and she had a long flowing pink bohemian skirt on, it was so cute!

My 19 year old is creative and paints and lets me paint her! My six year old would rather be the "painter" than the "paintee". So yes it is addictive or "runs" in the family!
Both have been to conventions with me and my younger one wants to go to her own kid classes now that she is old enough!!!

Both of my children (13 and 5) are my models but they also have thier own "kit" they can paint from...they both love it, too!

I just did a holiday bazaar and painted my friends daughter for the first time. She asked her mom for two things for Christmas -1 being facepaints. I am adopting her and offered her classes when ever she wants. Soooo cute.
Re: has your child gotten into face painting because of you?
My now 9 year old neighbour has been getting painted by me for a few years now. She apparently tells people she lives next to a professional face painter (whee!), and for her birthday and Christmas, she really wanted face paints. I made her a mini-kit and she nearly fell over, she was so excited!

My seven year old got facepaints and a mannequin head for Christmas and now she wants to practice everyday!

dang, I need to adopt someones kid into face painting...I'm sure its nice to have a little helper during those busy gigs
Re: has your child gotten into face painting because of you?
My 5 year old daughter got her first face paints at Christmas too. My other two kids aren't best pleased as she keeps torturing them to let her paint them. Suppose I'll have to let her paint me as she can be persuaded to model for me. She painted her dad once and he ended up looking like the Grinch!
