Re: Displays for booth for festivals and fairs
That's awesome news squiggle!
Glad it worked out for you after you put so much thought and effort into to it.
Still hanging out to see the finished result.

Yeah REALLY cheap here as everyone uses them - most shops are stalls or very temporary so is big banner industry!
Watch out for postage costs tho.
Fairly simple to order and all are about the same in their industry; design your banner in Adobe, etc - to be safe use the biggest pics you have and make your documwnt the SAME SIZE as the real banner so you don't have tiny pixellated pics. Save it as a jpeg or whatever they ask for, and usually you need to use some sort of ftp uploader to upload to their server. Along with a thumbnail pic showing how it SHOULD look incase its scrambled. They email a confirmation and off you go...

YAY!!!! I'm so happy it went well!! So happy you where able to prepair for the wind, it was moving! And it is an addicting thing, glad your friend had a good time too! Is she gonna try to go?
I ordered some blendy cakes here. I got the large and mini neon rainbows and the mini fire and girly(pinks/purle). Much to learn with those! But looking forward to figuring them out!
Later Gator!

I finally got a picture of the booth!

This was my daughter, Savannah, and I outside our booth at the Picayune Street fair this past weekend.

And this was me on the inside.
We're doing a crawfish festival this weekend at night so I'll have some night time pics on Monday for you

Re: Displays for booth for festivals and fairs
We did the Crawfish Festival in Biloxi on the beach for the last 4 days with MeLisa. We couldn't set up our castle tent because the first day the wind was like a hurricane coming off the water, and we were under the pavilion in case of rain, so we just set up the frame and turrets and lots of Christmas lights.

All in all, I love the setup! The vinyl displays have held up very well and it's easy to change pictures or prices at the drop of a hat, or even pull off a pic to use as a reference when painting, then stick it back on the display.

I love the night time setup, very sparkley! They both look great!
Re: Displays for booth for festivals and fairs
Thanks- I like the night time one better myself
I think we're going to string all the lights on the inside of the canopy for any day time festivals as well. We used swag lights on the exterior and icicle lights hanging from the "x" in the middle of the tent. The towers came with lights on them when we bought them so we didn't have to do anything to them.
Re: Displays for booth for festivals and fairs
that is really super cute with the lights! I LOVE it so much!!!

JBax wrote:I must have missed this thread. Check out my festival set up in my gallery. I got an over-the-door shoe-hanger-thing from Lowe's that's clear plastic. It was about $20, but it holds 4x6 pics perfectly. I hang it from the EZ up, put in whatever pictures I want to use. I'm going to buy another one before the summer season starts again. But you gave me a great idea, I'm going to put pics on both sides!
Jennifer, do you have issues with your photo display when it's windy? It seems like it might want to fly away if it gets too breezy.
Re: Displays for booth for festivals and fairs
I have to anchor it to something... I use electric zip ties along one side, but have to weigh it down. In the pic it's attached to a picnic basket!

It was a great time!!! Thanks again so much!! The learning and confidence was nothing I could have purchased!
Something you can't see in the pic-in the night time setup is there is a rope that held pics that separated the public from well, me. I was on the opposite side of the wall where people could get to you. I was a little worried that I was gonna get mobbed, lol. But that rope really defined the boundary and everyone respected that. Just a tip if you are having problems with that, something very simple can stop them. I'm gonna incorporate it into my setup....somehow, lol!

Squiggle, Love it and can see it painted as a castle with ivy going up the wall.
My dd and I love Ren Faires and could easily see this done.
Trouble is I can fit it in my car, so I guess it will have to wait till I get a trailer.
I have a PT Cruiser and can fit the tent, tables and chairs, etc in it fine, Just my dd and I can fit as far as people. I hope to be able to buy a small 8 x 5 enclosed trailer to store everything in, by next Summer.
Then I will have room for your wonderful castle.
Love it!!
