Re: Avatar Movie
I haven't seen the movie yet, but my 7 year old daughter and I were practicing tonight and I decided to paint myself like the Avatar. I still haven't figured out how to add photos in a post so it's my 'avatar' here. Hope it shows up well enough.
Re: Avatar Movie
Takk skal du ha LoneWolfe! I used wolfe light blue for the base, it's really close to the snaz turquoise sparkle (I might have used some of that too). Paradise wild orchid for shading, then snaz blue for the stripes. Then I used the kryolan inferenze electric blue to blend/soften the stripes and shade around the rim of my face and other shady areas. I used kryolan light pink for the nose and lips then the inferenze over top to soften it. I used the silver liquid bling for the dots.
I haven't seen the movie yet, and just went from some promo photos. Reviews have been great so I guess I should go see it : )

Re: Avatar Movie
Magna, Definatly see the movie! Awesome effects & don't forget to breathe! I saw it three times opening weekend and painted up my heads the next morning. Wish there wasn't a copyright issue on the designs so every kid that wants to be a Na'vi, could!
Fantastic work on your face-durn close! Jennifer's is, too and her nose shading is spot on! I really like Jennifer's and yours better than Cameron's, as his blues seem to be so faded. That's why I chose to paint the brighter war paint colors.
Our Imax 3D viewing has been posponed twice but well worth driving the distance to see the movie that way.
Seed & Jake's awesome war 'bird' - impressive mount!

Cheers,
Susan

Re: Avatar Movie

Tried an angry one, but ended up flipping the image since I did not have the time making the eyes look the same. Have to find a model trying the design on!
Re: Avatar Movie
Wow! That's awesome LoneWolf! I thought of doing the eyes on the lids, but it's kinda challenging doing that on yourself. Good job!

Lone always takes it to a dark and sinister place.... with some powerful awesome skills. I love the detailed wrinkles on the nose. I have got to learn how to do that.
