In the heat, I love using StarBlends as a base, and painting my line work over the powder base.

Um...
also, regarding sweaty painting.
You may NOT want to know this, so don't read this any further if you don't want to know.
I sweat.
In the hot sun, the sweat pools between my breasts.
A shot of anti-perspirant between and under the breasts help keep ME drier. My husband told me that it tastes nasty. See! I told you that you didn't want to know this! Don't read the above sentences!!!!

Happy, Happy, Dry Painting!

Lol fess never heard anybody mention that in public, but you're not alone.lol.

Anyways, lately I've been doing arm designs to avoid runny face stuff....keep the designs near the eyes, off the forehead and cheeks.....

Was considering starblend investment, but summers almost over..

I only have StarBlend White, Red, Black, Moonlight White.... and I use them all August long. I have an 18 day gig coming up, and my team and I discovered the joys of StarBlend. SpideyPerson, Skulls, Zombies & Pirates are just a few of our standard StarBlend bases used in the hot, humid, sunny weather.

Rotflmao fess! Baby powder tastes nasty too, but I won't share HOW I found that fact out!

Starblends, how I love thee! Seriously I'm in love and use them constantly. They're great for events where you have what feels like 4000 children to paint!

Lovin my Starblends this hot summer in FL...BUT, even in the AC, I use it on younger ones. Agree w/Fesspenter's suggestions...and also: green for half face Hulk, Blue & Black for Pirates & white for most little boys eyes, tigers, spidey eye, monsters. Not only does it not sweat off, it covers quickly, is dry-so you can paint on it immediately & is more comfy than a full face full of paint in the heat or not. Of course, I do love my painty colors!

What I'll never get is the clients that hire you to paint at a "pool party" lol....sweating, THEN into the pool! Every once in a while, I have an attack of guilt and let them know "you KNOW, it's going to come right off in the pool, don't you?". Of course, I've lost parties that way, but I can't help being honest sometimes lol!

I love pool parties, especially if its a longer party. I let them swim and come back again later and paint them again. Obviously this doesn't work for a one hour 12 kid party.

Eva, that's what I did for the last 2 parties. Last weekend, I also did glitter tattoos. Fun in the sun!

The Moonlight White purchase was accidental. I still boasted that I owned it.... to make myself look like I owned one more StarBlend than I really use.
Aren't you impressed?
No?
That's OK...
I impressed myself.
I am easily impressed.

This thread is why I should NOT neglect this forum!!! I've been busy so I haven't been as diligent as I normally am when following the exploits of our own dear Lisa. Your candid posts about boob sweat are a breath (breast?) of fresh air!!! I too am a sufferer of "swoob" or "swits" if you prefer.

Starblends and the Ben Nye Lumieres are my lifesavers during the summer months. You can make really gorgeous butterflies and masks out of the lumieres. I use the lavender and red starblends for blush year round.
