OK. I felt bad about the deletes so we won't do it. I think the praise is part of the fun. We'll just have fun seeing how long the thread can get!

What about starting a new thread ever month or so for the tag game?
Re: TAG, Your it. A Fun Game for All!
Linda that is stunning! I want to know how you got the tree branches/leaves to look so...real (for lack of a better descriptor).
Re: TAG, Your it. A Fun Game for All!
I did it by accident......
I was going to make the trees without leaves, but my tree to the right didn't come out right, so I started adding leaves to the bare branches by making dots randomly. Then the larger tree to the left looked bad without leaves so I started adding leaves on it.
BUT..........
my brush was almost out of paint and was really dry and it made the dots start to appear as scratchy lines. I was using a #4 round and Kryolan dark dark purple. I liked the look and would make dots on a dry baby wipe until my brush was almost out of paint, then I would paint more "scratchy" leaves.
I probably couldn't re-create it if I tried.......HAHAHA!~

Of course you can, anytime! Just wipe out most of the paint and wala great shadows and all sorts of things ; ) Its called a dry brushing technique, which made the leaves look great!
I use it often on my wildlife and landscape underpaintings.

You can also take an old brush and "scruff" it up even more by mashing the bristles down onto a flat surface and creating a permanent "scruffy" brush. Scruffy brushes are great for whisker effects, leafy effects (like what you did), as well as starburst effects, etc.

The vivid colour is terrific, so bold and beautiful, both of you
